Mum used to love crochet. She made so many items for her home and for all her daughters....tray cloths, table mats, shawls, cushion covers and even huge, lovely bed covers for our trousseaus!

Mum and Khallaji used to make laces and tassels for our dupattas. In fact I have so many 'chunis' that they had made for us....and I still love to wear them!

This is the actual bed cover that Khallaji Sakina had done on her famous Pfaff machine. Her work was so neat, accurate and artistic. we used to love see her work....we helped her to adjust the required numbers on the knobs on her machine. 

Encouraged by Mum and Khallaji, I, too, tried my hand on manual embroidery. I made this shirt for myself for my sister's engagement. By the way I still have it!!!!
