Paris....Here we are!

From Jomo Kenyatta Intl Airport, Nairobi, the flight by Turkish Airlines took six and a half hours to Ataturk Airport, Istanbul, Turkey. Then three and half hours flight to Paris...exhausting but exciting!

Radisson Blu situated in the suburbs of Paris. Cold...9 degrees C. but beautiful!

The sun peeping out on the lush green lawns of the amazing hotel.

Felt touched by the charity appeal on the notice board of the Radisson.

Comfortable, warm rooms with all the modern facilities including 'internet'. We were relieved to rest after the long flight.

Getting into the Shuttle provided by the hotel to take us to Disneyland Park which was just fifteen minutes drive from Radisson. All were warmly dressed and wearing 'skechers' as we had to walk a lot later!

From the really big parking place we had to walk to the entrance of the Disneyland Park. There were 'walking conveyors' to the gate.

Animal care centre where cute puppies and other pets were being looked after while the owners enjoyed inside the park... how thoughtful!

At the welcome gate every one had to queue for a thorough luggage and personal security check.

The Disneyland parks are sprawled over acres of land and innovative architecture has been utilised to bring to life all the Disney movie characters with their palaces and paraphernalia!

Disneyland merchandise in the popular shops around every corner of the Park.

Beautiful trees amidst the huge buildings gave the true feeling of Autumn - the green leaves were turning to lovely orange and brown hues!

Having rides on the horses and chariots indeed brought out the 'child' in us. The queues were miles long but everyone was braving the long wait which was worth it all!

We were lucky to see a number of classic Disney movies and theatre presentations in the state of the art cinema halls

The 4 D experience was indeed an exciting and fascinating experience!

The palaces in the Park on this misty, very cold day...temperature was around 6 degrees C but it did not deter the crowds visiting the magical grounds!

Herds of site-seers lining up to go up the monumental, historical Eiffel Tower! A mesmerising unique experience!

Walking from the Eiffel Tower to the Louvre... a good hour's drizzly trek over the six famous bridges along Rue de Rivoli...

Amazing art pieces from all over the world in one of the many exhibition halls in the colossal museum La Louvre

Many clamouring to get a closer look at the pretty Mona Lisa...well guarded by uniformed personnel who kept the crowds in order!

Sometimes destiny takes you to a place where you had thought only "others" go. By miraculous circumstances I landed in Paris for a week in October 2016. The best part was that my sons Mustafa, Sameer and daughter Naz were the ones to convince me to accompany them for the exotic trip......so we had lots of time together and loads of fun.......

Come on...You too can join us and enjoy Disneyland and Paris!!!
